Our mission is to unlock the value of natural biopolymers, upgrading the cycle of biomass production and applications. We hope to contribute to the transformation towards a plastic-free, eco-friendly, sustainable society.
Technology
Fossil-based plastics appears in our daily lives, from food packaging films to microbeads in personal care products. Large and small plastic fragments are found in the marine and in the air, and eventually in the human body. Biopolymers, on the other hand, are naturally abundant in agricultural by-products or waste. Our technology explores their hidden value as one of the solutions to the plastic crisis. The technology requires only mild processing conditions, minimising the ecological footprint and retaining the chemical structure of bioploymers. It enables the production of various materials, from films and coatings, to microbeads and microcapsules, customised for applications in the food, personal care, and medical industries.
