Senior Data Engineer/ Lead Data Engineer

Support development on database for motor design and motor production line matching
Collect and optimize data, and establish prediction models based on machine learning methods
Participates as an active member of the development team.
Develop concepts, design data structures, collect data, perform analysis, and make predictions.
Support troubleshooting (perform diagnostic activities) for issues.
Supports sustaining engineering activities related to current production when necessary.
Other ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned.
Perform model fine-tuning and validate the results.
Provide guidance to the production and process teams on achieving continuous updates for the database.
Implement an automated workflow using Power Automate to reduce the need for manual updates.
Walkthrough of the production line and collaborate with the production or process team to comprehend the line’s logic and their capabilities.
Collaborate with the platform team and BU design engineer to comprehend the motor design and its underlying logic.
Responsible for other daily operation, including database and program maintenance, new application development and reporting.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science. (Candidate with Higher Diploma / Associated Degree can also consider)
At least 2 years or above relevant working experience.
Knowledge in data science and software development is highly preferred.
Knowledge of mechanical structure, physical designs and engineering drawing is highly preferred.
Good time management, communication skills in both English and Mandarin, good interpersonal skills and willing to learn.
Proficiency in analytical capability & familiar with statistical tools (SPC, DOE, DFMEA, Minitab etc.) is a plus.
Engineering related experience is a plus.
Willing to travel to our China plants in Shenzhen and Jiangmen regularly.
