Assistant / Deputy Manager - Planning & Marketing

Job Responsibilities

  • To explore Latin America & Africa Trade network growth opportunity through examining demand outlook and the identification of potential consortium partnership & other possible external collaboration with Network Planning Center
  • To review and optimize LAT network efficiency & vessel deployment strategy in conjunction with commercial requirement
  • To liaise and negotiate with other shipping lines on the service/corridors required consortium partnership & joint collaboration in the form of slot charter / exchange / joint services
  • To conduct new service financial & operational feasibility study in the focus of simulating the profit & loss model of all new services
  • To evaluate vessel charter in or renewal in the focus of simulating the profit & loss model of the service
  • To work with partners on network deployments, slot cost settlement, and long-term service review
  • To conduct market research and analysis projects to assist the strategic planning for the trade;
  • To prepare KPI reports on performance evaluation and analysis; yield assessment for various market segments; provide analytical works to support day-to-day commercial decisions
  • To review internal system cost allocation and work with F&A for proper slot cost provision
  • To prepare marketing/PR promotion and product design

Job Requirements

  • University graduate in Shipping, Logistics or Business related disciplines ​
  • At least 3-5 years relevant working experience in shipping & logistics industry
  • ​Previous experience of liaising with partners is a plus
  • Know-how on preparing/reading proforma and shipping P&L calculation logic are advantageous
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong in analytical thinking, independent, and result-oriented
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese, Mandarin is preferred ​University graduate in Shipping, Logistics or Business related disciplines ​
