Assistant Manager - Marketing & Sales Team

Job Responsibilities

  • Rate quotation
  • Review market & guideline rate
  • Organize and review market intelligence with individual sub-regional office entry points
  • Review vessel loading performance
  • Discuss pricing strategies with Trade (Principal)
  • Prepare customer advisory and coordinate announcement for surcharge adjustment/ service adjustment, coordinate with other relevant parties on surcharge tariff review and update.
  • Cooperate with YSM and Sales Team on process and performance monitoring, including contribution review, vessel utilization, loading factor, booking acceptance / cargo rollover tactics.
  • Carry out analysis on service utilization and space planning, including TCR prospect preparation, new service requirement for missing link, and customer performance review
  • Conduct process and procedure review and refining
  • Assist on project implementation and monitoring (e.g. E-sales Program)
  • Assist Commercial Head on report & presentation preparation

Job Requirements

  • University graduate in Business Administration or Shipping related disciplines
  • Min. 5 years of relevant work experience in Sales/ Commercial fields, preferably in shipping industry
  • A good team player, Good communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Able to work independently and under pressure
  • Proactive, diligent and willing to work overtimes, if needed
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; Putonghua is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office applications , especially in advanced Excel ( like Pivot Table) is a definite asset
