Engineering Manager

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as Head of Engineering in organizing and monitoring overall activities and coordination in Engineering Department.
  • Be accountable for all engineering activities relating to GMP areas, equipment, HVAC, utilities, facilities and general maintenance of whole building.
  • Ensure operations of the premise and all equipment & utilities are in good condition.
  • Prepare & review SOPs relating to engineering operation to ensure their strict implementation.
  • Develop and implement strategies that will deliver services, which meet or exceed the needs and expectations of internal users while maximizing the financial performance.
  • Participate in change control, deviation, CAPA, QRM, supplier evaluation, validation and other quality-related activities.
  • Manage and maintain equipment & facility documentations with good traceability.
  • Participate in new production line setup including but not limited to: FAT, Installation, Qualification of Cleanroom, HVAC, Utilities and Equipment, as well as commissioning planning and stage wise inspection of new equipment.
  • Maintain a strong and tight communication & coordination with relevant contractors & suppliers throughout the entire project.
  • Assist in budget monitoring & control of the setup project under a tight construction timeline.
  • Prepare primary design drawings of all facility, utilities, equipment for internal review and evaluation, requirement as well as URS.
  • Site supervision to ensure the performance of all external construction contractors to achieve regulation.
  • Conduct cost/benefit analysis of different contractors for management screen.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Building Service Engineering or related disciplines or above.
  • At least 5 years of GMP or HACCP experience in manufacturing (at managerial or supervisory level) in food industry or pharmaceutical.
  • Project management experience in food production or pharmaceutical plant construction is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, time management and prioritization skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and good team player.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
