MetaGreenX is a NatureTech Startup focus on developing One-Stop AIoT Saplings Monitoring & Nurturing System to increase saplings' survival rate in the Country Parks. Our team is formed with diverse backgrounds, ranging from green finance, social science and computer science, offering an all-round perspective in working in the NatureTech Sector. We are going to collaborate with AFCD and different Green NGOs in Hong Kong in 2025, with continuing our project. MetaGreenX's project is currently supported by Hang Seng Bank, Wofoo Social Enterprise, HKSTP, HKUST and AFCD, etc.

Job Description

We're seeking a skilled AIoT Full Stack Developer to join MetaGreenX in developing and maintaining our innovative sapling monitoring and nurturing system. You'll be instrumental in bridging IoT hardware with AI-powered software solutions to enhance tree survival rates in Country Parks.

IoT Development:

• Design and implement IoT architecture for sapling monitoring sensors
• Develop firmware for various IoT devices and sensors
• Optimize power consumption and connectivity solutions for field-deployed devices
• Implement secure data transmission protocols
• Troubleshoot hardware-software integration issues
• Full Stack Development:

• Build and maintain scalable backend services using modern frameworks
• Develop responsive web applications for data visualization and system management
• Create mobile applications for field operations and monitoring
• Ensure system security and data privacy compliance

AI Integration:

• Implement machine learning models for sapling health monitoring
• Develop algorithms for environmental data analysis
• Create automated alert systems for critical plant conditions
• Optimize AI models for edge computing devices

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years experience in full stack development
• Strong knowledge of IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP, LoRaWAN)
• Experience with embedded systems programming
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and C/C++
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Knowledge of database management systems
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
