Job Responsibilities
- Achieve commercialization plans of our R&D deliverables and promote to potential partners
- Prepare professional and feasible business proposal and write-ups to promote the Centre’s Research & Development projects
- Maintain thorough knowledge of technologies and relevant business, as well as an understanding of how that impacts the other entities of contact
- Work with other staff members to develop a greater understanding of technology transfer and business applications, with any issues that arise
- Closely monitor innovation landscape, policies, and funding mechanisms and make appropriate strategies to sharpen our edge
- Build and maintain relationships with government and related science and technology units, high-tech companies, startup communities, academia and institutions
- Develop and execute appropriate Intellectual Property (IP) management for harvesting of value and protection of IP
- Compile reports about particular incidents, events, or updates
- Proactively solve conflicts and address issues
- Promptly respond to incidents and other events as necessary
Job Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or above in STEM subjects, Business and Marketing discipline or equivalent
- 5-8 years of solid experience in AI start-up business development is preferred, background from sizeable tech companies is also an advantage
- Knowledge in handling Intellectual Property (IP) matters and technology license agreements
- Analytically and mathematically minded to analyse data and create necessary reports
- Customer-oriented attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to establish and nurture beneficial business relationships
- Self-motivated with a willingness to take initiative and solve complex problems
- Capability to negotiate with and influence others
- Appointment will initially be made on contract basis, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement
