FAQ

Q1. Why is my OnePass@HKSTP account locked?

Your account will be locked after too many incorrect login attempts. These attempts include logins via different devices such as your mobile phone or tablet at the same time. To log back into your account, please wait for 15 minutes before trying again.

Q2. What do I do if my OnePass user ID has already been taken/registered by others?

As the primary identifier for your OnePass@HKSTP account, your user ID must be unique. If you get a message indicating that your user ID has already been taken/registered by others, please create a new user ID that is unique to you.

Q3. What do I do if my email address has already been registered?

As the primary identifier for your OnePass@HKSTP account, your email address must be unique. If you get a message indicating that your email address has already been registered, please restart the login process with that address by selecting ‘Sign In’ instead or register with a new email address that is unique to you.

Q4. Why haven’t I received my verification code?

If you do not receive an email from us with your verification code within a few minutes, please check your spam or junk folders. If you are unable to find the email upon checking, please add msonlineservicesteam@microsoftonline.com to your contact list and select ‘Send New Code’ to receive a new verification code.

Q5. What is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) uses multiple means of authenticating a user’s identity before providing access to a system or service. This makes account takeover attacks more difficult because an attacker needs to gain access to all required authentication factors to access a user’s account.
