Job Responsibilities
- Conduct different research work at R&D and research collaboration projects
- Assist project leader to develop bioinformatics pipelines for different NGS research tests
- Assist project leader to set up high-performance PCs (local and/or cloud-based servers)
- Regularly maintain the Unix/Linux operating system and software in the servers
- Perform QC and data analysis for all sequencing data
- Prepare progressive reports summarizing the results of the research projects
- Prepare documents, e.g., SOP, manuals, R&D results summary, publication and etc
Job Requirements
- Ph.D degree in Aging Biology, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Information systems, with knowledge in Genetics, Cell and Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, and/or other related fields of Biomedical Sciences.
- Expertise in programming languages: R, Python/Perl, and Shell.
- Able to work in Unix/Linux environment
- Excellent communication skills as well as ability to work independently
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Hands-on experience in large-scale genomic data analysis, such as WGS/WES, RNA-seq, DNA methylation array/Bisulfite sequencing, ChIP-seq, and/or ATAC-seq data, would be an advantage.
