Research Assistant
Job Responsibilities
- Follow and perform experiments
- Equipment operation and maintenance
- Preparation of research materials (e.g., buffers, product components, intermediates, supplies)
- Keep a detailed laboratory work tracking: laboratory supply purchasing and inventory
- Communicate and discuss results with a multidisciplinary team including managers, biologists, bioinformaticians, statisticians and software engineers
- Summarize work in research reports and laboratory meeting presentations
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or related fields
- Fresh graduates are also welcome
- Candidate with MSc. degree will be considered as Research Associate
- Excellent command of English and Chinese, both spoken and written
- A team player but willing to work independently
- Team oriented and places high value on developing a positive company culture
- Desire to work under pressure and demanding start-up environment
- Immediate availability is preferred
- Hands on experience with NGS on Illumina platforms
- Hands-on experience with nucleic acid techniques (DNA manipulation, PCR, qPCR, DNA quantitation and analysis by BioAnalyzer)
- Experience in basic statistical analysis
