Senior Engineer /Engineer – Ionic Compounds
Job Responsibilities
- Synthesizing nano- and advanced metal / non-metal compounds, such as metal oxides;
- Developing product containing nano- and advanced metal / non-metal compounds;
- Surface treatment of various inorganic or organic substrates;
- Characterizing chemical, physical and mechanical properties of inorganic powder or mixed products;
- Developing the lab-scale materials to final / semi-final products;
- Evaluating performance of prototypes;
- Liaison and cooperate with industrial partners on R&D works;
- Scaling-up of manufacturing process from the laboratory scale to a scale at which it is commercially feasible; and
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements
- PhD degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or related disciplines;
- Expertise in multiple investigation & testing of chemical, physical, mechanical properties;
- Experience of working on nano- / advanced inorganic materials is preferred;
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; Competent in technical writing and reporting, ability to initiate and work independently;
- Capability of working under pressure & multi-tasking;
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills and passionate in creative & innovative works; and
- Ability to work independently and able to communicate in teamwork.
