(Hong Kong, 18 November 2024) – Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) leads 16 promising Park companies to exhibit at the Asian Logistics, Maritime and Aviation Conference (ALMAC) 2024, held from 18 to 19 November 2024. The event serves as a platform to exhibit an array of supply chain innovations across logistics, maritime, and aviation sectors. As the premier annual event for the Asian supply chain industry, this year’s ALMAC is anticipated to attract exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions. HKSTP, collaborated with park companies, will showcase innovative solutions to international suppliers, traders, as well as to the general public. The initiative is designed to support businesses in achieving sustainable and efficient transformations and to expand their global market presence.
Mr Albert Wong, CEO of HKSTP, said: "The Science Park is home to approximately 100 technology companies focused on various aspects of the supply chain, including warehousing and logistics, manufacturing, transportation, and retail. HKSTP boasts robust corporate partnerships in the logistics and mobility sectors, supported by more than 10 leading industry enterprises who serve as industry advisors. Together, we are steering these technology companies towards accelerated commercialisation. One of the main themes in our exhibition area this year is the 'Low-altitude Economy,' which aligns closely with the latest demands of economic development. Science park offers substantial outdoor spaces, and we are actively working with the government to define flight routes and establish take-off and landing points to foster the low-altitude economy."

- Green Aviation Dedicated to Developing potentially the World’s First Commercially Approved Four-Seater Electric Aircraft - Volar Aerospace, in partnership with Liaoning General Aviation Academy, is commercialising the four-seater electric aircraft - RX4E, for use as both transport, sightseeing vehicles and beyond. The company has also signed memorandum of understanding with multiple countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Kenya, UAE and Saudi Arabia to commercialise the RX4E.
Green Mobility
- First ever Hong Kong Brand with Dirt Mitigation Technology to Address Climate Change - airDefender has developed a dirt mitigation technology through a straightforward surface coating designed to decrease the formation of greenhouse gases, volatile organic compounds, and PM2.5. This technology has gained recognition from various enterprises and sectors in Hong Kong, including its initial applications on the curtain walls of commercial buildings, and noise barrier fences on highways, all aimed at mitigating environmental pollution with lowering operation and maintenance cost simultaneously.
- World's First Solar-Powered and Wireless Charging PAPC System - Locolla is the parent company of the locally renowned shared bicycle brand, LocoBike. By integrating electric bicycles with solar energy storage, wireless charging, and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, they provide an innovative green charging solution for shared electric bikes. This initiative has attracted attention from Shell, the world’s second-largest oil company, which has included it as a technological partner in its "Shell Renewable Energy Mobility" programme. The system is currently being piloted in university campuses, tourist areas in mainland China, including Chengdu, Leshan, and Jinan. It is also operational in Taiwan’s large industrial zones.
