HKSTP Welcomes China Everbright Green Technology Innovation Research Institute to Science Park

Hong Kong, 12 September 2019 – Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) announces the launch of China Everbright Green Technology Innovation Research Institute (the “Institute”) at Hong Kong Science Park as the latest addition to the Park’s green technology ecosystem. 

China Everbright International Limited (“Everbright International”) is a flagship company in the industrial investment sector of China Everbright Group Ltd. Everbright International is Asia’s largest waste-to-energy project investor and operator with business presence in over 170 locations across more than 22 provinces and municipalities in China, as well as in overseas markets such as Germany, Poland and Vietnam. 

The Institute at Science Park will become Everbright International’s global R&D headquarter and form a ‘Four-in-One’ structure together with its technological innovation platforms in Shenzhen, Nanjing and Qingdao, attracting advanced technologies and global talent in order to become a worldclass centre dedicated to green technological innovation and commercialisation of research results. The Institute will focus on R&D in waste management, water management and energy conservation.
