Job Responsibilities
- Apply conventional and innovative statistical techniques to analyse health data;
- Manage the multi-dimensional and interdisciplinary dataset, including compiling and aggregating extensive datasets collected by the research team or our partners in addition to available national and local survey data;
- Perform data cleaning and analyses with attention to detail, ensuring precise and replicable documentation of analysis code;
- Contribute to research study designs, including survey design, sample size determinants, health data collection, analysis and interpretation; and
- Undertake high-quality research, including contributing to drafting proposals and research manuscripts.
Job Requirements
- At least Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Medical Statistics, Statistics, or related disciplines;
- Proficiency in statistical programming languages, for example, R, Stata, Python, Matlab, and/or SAS;
- Experience in inferential and quantitative techniques, including but not limited to Survival Analysis, Bayesian Statistics, and Causal Inference;
- Knowledge of several research designs, including but not limited to randomised controlled trials, case-control studies, and cohort studies;
- Preferred experience in analysing large epidemiological datasets, particularly with electronic health records;
- Responsible and self-initiated, with strong ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively as part of a research team;
- Evidence of good organisational skills, including effective time management;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with collaborators;
- Meticulous and accurate in work, with evidence of aptitude for methodological research; and
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is a must. Proficiency in Chinese would be a definite plus.
