Job Responsibilities
- Support the Center Director and the senior management in strengthening close liaison with stakeholders in PRC community
- Co-ordinate and participate in the Center Director and the senior management’s public affairs and community services and related activities
- Handle PR and media relations such as enquires, interviews and media activities from the PRC media; maintain good relations with the PRC media
- Collaborate and communicate with the HKUST and HKCeND’ s partners, local and PRC research collaborators, and the PRC industry to promote the university and the Center
- Deal with other duties and projects as assigned by the Center Director/ the senior management
- Conduct research and report writing on public affairs
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in China studies/Public Administration/ Politics/ Economics/ Journalism or related disciplines
- At least 10 years’ working experience in public affairs/ communication/ social research or equivalent
- Good understanding of PRC political affairs & economy with general knowledge in high education in PRC and Hong Kong
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese, in particular Putonghua
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- Familiar with modern internet tools and gadgets
- Willing to work outside office hours and travel outside Hong Kong
