Superintendent - Fleet Technical

Job Responsibilities

  • To monitor performance and maintenance standards of assigned vessels. To motivate optimum productivity of M&R to be performed by ship crew.
  • To prepare, monitor and control annual budget of assigned vessels.
  • To monitor activities of shiphands of vessels assigned to ensure the Company policies, guidelines and procedures are implemented effectively.
  • To monitor and supervise vessel’s day to day operations, cargo and navigation related matters.
  • To assist Nautical Safety to perform internal audit.
  • To investigate and provide support to insurance claim related matters to hull, machinery and P&I.
  • To carry out vessel performance analysis, including cost/inventory control of fuel consumptions, lubricants, spare parts, stores, lashing gears, etc.

Job Requirements

  • Shipboard chief engineer or University degree in Marine Engineering or related disciplines
  • Min. 5 years’ relevant working experience in Marine Engineering and Shipboard Management
  • Familiar with Quality Assurance management standards
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese; good command of Putonghua a plus
