Albacastor Technology Limited is a vertical R&D integration company dedicated to developing innovative organic pollutant treatment solutions combined with data solutions to solve customer's problems and provide research data to the academia to formulate industry standards. Our research includes a variety of areas, including materials science, mechanical design, Internet of Things (IoT) technology and data products. Our core technology utilises patented photocatalyst technology to optimise the entire organic pollutant decomposition process. Our technology is designed to solve everyday problems such as oil mist pollutants, odour problems, industrial emissions and disinfection.

We are currently an incubatee of The Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) and City University of Hong Kong. We are also an accredited local manufacturer by the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) and Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD). EMSD and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) are our research partners. We have three main business segments, including developing odour and smoke treatment equipment (UVent® Intelligent Ventilation System), Internet of Things platform (UVent® IoT), and data products for health data heat mapping. Our core product UVent® Smart Ventilation System series has been applied in over 50 restaurants, hotels and clubs across 30 brands in less than two years.

In the future, our research goal will be around the photocatalyst technology, developing electroless organic pollutant decomposition technology and carbon reduction technology as the target, to provide more innovative and environmentally friendly solutions for our community.

Description

Provide an ESG ventilation system with IoT technology to deal with odour and oil mist emission problems

The UVent® kitchen hood is an advanced grease and deodorising kitchen hood that utilises UVC IoT technology. UV light irradiation in the air produces a photolytic reaction, generating ozone and ions that react with oil mist and odours (PM 2.5 and PM 10), converting them into H2O and CO2, with feedback and monitoring provided by our IoT systems. The oil and odour removal rate can reach approximately 85%, as certified by the CMA laboratory.

The UVent® kitchen hood is our first product collection aimed at alleviating air pollution caused by cooking oil mist and odours. This year, we will launch the UVent® Steel Tree, the world's first outdoor oil mist processor.
