Cosmic Hydrogen Energy Limited relies on the HK Tech 300 Seed Funding Program of the City University of Hong Kong (CityU), the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Ideation Program and Incubation Program, and cooperates with four universities: CityU, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Kunming University of Science and Technology, Hunan Normal University to realise the conversion of production, learning and research. The core technology has obtained two USA patents. Our four co-founders are all Chair professors and PhDs from CityU; all have many years of experience in electrode research. Our business model is to sell electrodes to AWE electrolyser manufacturers, help them save on purchase and running costs (electricity), and enhance their competitiveness.

Description

To address the environmental and energy crisis, countries are accelerating carbon neutrality. AND Hydrogen energy is a clean energy that can replace fossil fuels and serve as a new energy storage medium AND water electrolysis is a convenient method to produce green hydrogen with zero carbon emissions. However, the cost of green hydrogen remains high due to the manufacturing cost and the running cost (electricity). Current commercial electrodes have high energy consumption, and the preparation process is complicated. Therefore, Cosmic Hydrogen Energy Limited has developed a high-tech AWE electrode that features low energy consumption, excellent catalytic performance, and high stability, with a simple electrode manufacturing process. Using our products can reduce the cost of green hydrogen by 27%.

Bifunctional AWE electrodes excel in both Oxygen Evolution Reaction (OER) and Hydrogen Evolution Reaction (HER), increasing energy efficiency to 68% and cutting operational costs. This also reduces the cost of green hydrogen by 27%. The technology enables the production of self-supporting electrodes through simpler processes. Additionally, our AWE electrodes ensure compatibility between cathode and anode, enhancing both stability and safety.
