Company

The current directors of our company are Dr. Zhang Ruihan and Mr. Ding Hua.

Dr. Zhang completed his PhD at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2019. He then served as a research scientist at Worcester Polytechnic Institute while working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 2019 to 2023. Dr. Zhang has dedicated over 8 years to energy technology and has authored more than 40 research papers published in esteemed journals such as Nature Communications, Nano Energy, Journal of Energy Chemistry, and Journal of Power Sources. He has overseen various projects under the Technology Entrepreneurship Support Scheme for Joint Universities (TSSSU) by the Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC). He has also led a national-level innovation and entrepreneurship training program as well as two Shandong University Undergraduate Science and Technology Innovation Fund projects. Additionally, Dr. Zhang also participated in 5 energy projects funded by the US Department of Energy and the Hong Kong Research Grants Council, and obtained an authorized patent. Furthermore, he also participated in the writing of a professional book.

Mr. Ding Hua holds the position of CEO in our company and obtained his Mphil Degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Mr. Ding has previously founded companies such as GreenPi International Ltd., and Future Well holding Ltd. He is also the initiator of the Hong Kong International Maker Festival. Moreover, Mr. Ding established the Hong Kong Shandong Youth Association and possesses extensive experience in corporate management, financial analysis, and market expansion.

Description

Siphone Science and Technology Ltd. is a technology company founded in 2022 and headquartered in the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park. Our company is dedicated to resolving issues related to power systems, environment protection, and waste reduction. We provided innovative solutions such as advanced battery systems (such as lithium metal batteries, hydrogen fuel cells, and flow battery stacks) as well as cutting-edge intelligent management systems for industrial unmanned aerial vehicles, electric vehicles, smart zero-carbon buildings, and ultra-fast charging stations. Our company currently has seven employees, including four R&D staffs. These employees have been sourced from prestigious institutions such as the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Chinese University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, and North China Electric Power University. Over 90% of our team members possess postgraduate degrees or higher qualifications, with an average age of around 30 years.

High-energy-density battery packs: These battery packs equipped with a lithium metal anode and composite cathode, resulting in a remarkable energy density of 350~550 Wh/kg. They also exhibit a long cycling life.

Battery management system: Our system employs cutting-edge software cordless technology and incorporates active balance management technology. These enables accurate capacity estimation of the battery unit with up to 2% accuracy. Compared to similar products, our battery management system offers a life expectancy that is at least one year longer. By precisely controlling the state of charge (SOC) and state of health (SOH) of the batteries through software, each battery unit achieves a high storage capacity. This makes them ideal for long-term ultra-high-rate charge and discharge cycles, as well as high-power hybrid battery systems.

Technology

Our clients consist of producers and customers in the green energy technology sector, including UAV, EVs and other applications. Siphone Science and Technology Ltd. offers a diverse range of green energy services, which include:
1) Real-time market analysis of the global UAV market and battery products using artificial intelligence.
2) Different battery packs with varying sizes, energy densities, and applications, with special focus on Li-S batteries.
3) Reliably and intelligent battery management system (BMS) technology.
4) Collection and recycling of waste batteries through a closed-loop recycling process.
