Company
DRESIO specialises in computer vision R&D with a focus on lightweight 3D biomechanics measurement and physical health analytics for physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and elderly care professionals. Our software solution, Accudex, allows healthcare professionals to conduct contactless physiotherapy assessments, such as range of motion, balance, and gait analysis, simply by performing movements in front of a camera. This innovative technology aims to save time for both physiotherapists and patients while also revolutionising the way results are recorded and analysed.
Description
A team of engineers, exercise science researchers, and physiotherapists founded DRESIO, headquartered in Hong Kong, with the shared goal of transforming healthcare assessments and rehabilitation through innovative motion capture technology.
Technology
1. Markerless full-body motion capture: We use a markerless method to estimate human posture without wearing any sensors, greatly simplifying practical applications.
2. 3D biomechanical parameter calculation: Our algorithm can recover the 3D position and motion trend of each part of the human body from only a single camera's 2D video and calculate key parameters such as the centre of gravity trajectory and joint angle.
3. Automated physical therapy assessment: The technology we developed allows non-professional therapists to use our software for assessment, and the AI algorithm automatically generates an assessment report.
