Post-doctoral Fellow / Research Assistant I/II
Job Responsibilities
- Proactive and effective “surveillance and control” of these outbreaks relies on the comprehensive knowledge of the viruses circulating in animals and human, reliable prediction of the potential of these animal viruses to jump interspecies barrier from animal to human, highly-multiplex diagnostic tests for rapid detection of these viruses in healthcare and field setting, broad spectrum antivirals for prophylactic and therapeutic treatment, and most importantly, a safe and towards-universal vaccine platform with heterologous protection against antigenically drifted viruses. The Centre for Virology, Vaccinology and Therapeutics (CVVT) is set to provide these conditions.
Job Requirements
- Applicants for Post-doctoral Fellow should possess a PhD degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics or a related field.
- Applicant for Research Assistant should possess a Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
- Applicants should have a good command of written and spoken English.
- hey should also have a strong sense of responsibility, good organizational skills, and the ability to work in a team and multi-task.
- They should be self-motivated and hardworking. The appointee will be involved in research projects related to emerging infectious diseases, including COVID-19.
- Working experiences or skills in research or medical laboratory procedures is a strong competitive advantage.
