HKSTP Independent Ethics Committee (IEC)

In light of the vision and pursue of HKSTP in creating and growing a vibrant innovation and technology ecosystem, it is important for HKSTP to govern the standards of conduct for researchers to adhere to the highest ethical standards and procedures for research projects.

If a research project involves animals or human subjects/materials, the researcher must apply for appropriate ethics approval.

This detailed process involves review by a committee and may require changes to the proposal. Ethics approval is required prior to commencing research.
