Since its establishment in 1994, the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering (MAE) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) has been a key contributor to Hong Kong’s innovation landscape. It has long been a key partner of Hong Kong Science Park (HKSTP) in fostering the growth of the startups ecosystem. To celebrate its 30^th anniversary, MAE is partnering with HKSTP to present the ‘CUHK MAE 30th Anniversary Expo cum Innovation Entrepreneurship Day’ on 18 October 2024. The event will showcase over 20 cutting-edge innovations developed by MAE faculty and alumni, highlighting the successful commercialisation and technology transfer of innovations in robotics, AI, advanced materials, green technology, and more — demonstrating the strong partnership between academia and industry in driving entrepreneurship and sustainable growth.
