Senior Manager, Contracts Management

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the contracts management and administration functions
  • Responsible for pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying duties including preparation of cost estimates, procurement and tendering, tender evaluation, cashflow forecast, contract administration, costs control of capital works, evaluation of variations, review of interim/final payments, claims assessment and finalization of project accounts
  • Lead a project team and coordinate with internal departments, as well as external consultants, contractors and suppliers
  • Prepare analysis reports and recommendations to various committees/authorities for the approval of consultancy agreements and works tenders
  • Implement contracts management and cost assurance policy and procedures
  • Provide technical audits and other supporting services as well as co-ordinate with other supporting teams for contracts management

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or other related disciplines
  • Minimum 10 years relevant working experience in quantity surveying in land & property development projects
  • Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience in contract management and implementation of governance policy and costs control and 5 years of managerial experience
  • Proven leadership experience of a sizeable project team in construction management and project delivery
  • Knowledge in government procurement procedures is an asset
  • Relevant quantity surveying experience in civil infrastructure projects and/or large-scale building works projects is an advantage
  • Solid experience in quantity surveying/contract management preferably in government or subvented projects, or in consulting firms with professional qualifications
  • Corporate Member of Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors or equivalent (minimum 5 years)
  • Excellent language skills in Chinese and English
