Identify the latest technology development trends and applications of intelligent robotics and mechatronics for the flexible production and intelligent automation for manufacturing so as to develop the relevant technology roadmap to ensure a pioneer role of innovative applications in the industry for the Centre
Formulate, drive, and execute the strategy on mechatronics and robotics technology development for the solutions focusing on flexible production and intelligent automation for manufacturing in line with the mission and goals of the Centre
Lead and groom a technical team to plan and implement the R&D projects focusing on the technologies and solutions development for intelligent mechatronics system, robotics system, intelligent system and control strategy/algorithm, sensor and sensor network, data acquisition, IoT, and etc.
Drive industrial partnerships to ensure application oriented developments, cooperate with internal teams to propose the annual plan on both technology development and technical solutions development
Explore technical demands for new business opportunities and the commercialisation of developed technologies

Master degree or above in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineer, and related disciplines or equivalent.
10 years or above solid experience in technology development and applications of robotic system, control, automation workstation and intelligent manufacturing with at least 4 years in management positions
Proven track record in team management, technology development related to intelligent systems, innovative solutions, robotics and automation, etc.
Technical experience in the development and application for flexible production and intelligent automation for manufacturing, robot control system and related areas preferred
Extensive connections with the academia, technical institutes, professional bodies an advantage
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills
