Job Responsibilities
- Fully understand the importance of pre-clinical animal study for human medicine research and drug development process; ensure a high level of animal welfare and work to improve the quality of life for laboratory animals.
- Carry out rodent’s study according to the designed protocol. Experimental procedures would include, but not limited to, clinical observations, different routes of administration, blood collections and live data acquisition etc.
- Complete the experimental records in accordance with GLP specifications and related standard operating procedures (SOP) within the facility.
- Work in a team to undertake technical and staff supervision/ management duties in connection with the operation of the facility.
- Management of daily operations of the animal care and supporting teams.
- On-the-job training will be provided.
- The appointee will be required to work on shift on Saturdays and public holidays.
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree holder would be an advantage;
- Be self-motivated, responsible, empathetic, and curious; excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills; an interest in laboratory animal science and technology; and demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development in the field.
- Willing to join the pharmaceutical research and development industry and contribute to the cause of human medicine and health.
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; fluent in Putonghua would be an advantage.
- Experience in animal husbandry, operation and maintenance of equipment for sanitation and sterilisation (e.g. autoclave), or inventory/record keeping will be an advantage but not essential.
- Candidate with less experience would be considered as the role of Technician.
